1998 Computer Climate Control Problem

My vent selector & the inside/outside vent buttons on my 98' Blazer are not working. The a/c works fine. However, I cannot open and close my main vent (to circulate the air in the truck or circulate the air in from the outside) nor change the vent selections. Any idea's?

Automatic controls or regular ac?

Lot of vacuum stuff there?
Good full engine vacuum to ac controls?
Any vacuum leaks under dash or under hood?

Problem solved! I recently replaced my hood release cable and while working near the front left side of the engine compartment I accidentally disconnected a vacuum hose that is connected to a plate located on the left front fender. This hose controls the vents (aka. mode selection on the computer climate control). It was 12 years old, worn out, and very fragile. I simply replaced the hose with a new one (7/32 size) and I was back in business. Keep in mind that IT IS NOT NECESSARY to remove anything in order to reconnect this hose. There is a mounting bracket located inside the fender and if you loosen up any bolts to gain access to the plate, it is possible to loose that bracket! So be very careful. Enjoy your Blazer!!!!

Thanks for posting back how it went.
The old good vacuum repair fixed it.
If 12 years old.
Check around there may be some more bad lines.

Thanks! I found several hoses needing replacement. But he still runs like a champ!
