Unsteady idle, revs by itself, hard to start
2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7HO. When cold, it's rough to start almost like it struggles for fuel at first. When it does start, it revs high, then it's unsteady and the idle increases and decreases like your reving it. I cleaned the throttle body and tried a new IAC and PCV valve, no change. I instpected all the vacuum lines and don't see or hear an obvious vac leak. Would any other sensors cause this? ANYTHING ELSE i SHOULD CHECK?Thanks! |

Re: Unsteady idle, revs by itself, hard to start
Im no expert but was having the same problem and the Throttle Position Sensor was the culprit... so if you dont have it fixed yet thats a good start.
