brake noise
have 2000 bravada and when lightly hit brakes when slowly moving getting a groaning noise from front brakes, sound is not a screech or crunch like groaning noise. used grease in the right places but still makes noise when applying brakes at very slow speed only. thank you

Re: brake noise
Have you recently changed out your front brake pads?

Re: brake noise
It's probably the new pads not broke in with the glazed rotor. I had some that groaned a year before they finally got quiet.
I'm not sure what the "glaze" consists of, maybe the binder that holds some pads material together. I guess the rotor glaze could be cut by lightly sanding them with some 320 sanding discs just enough to take the shine off. |
