a/c high pressure port leaking
i have a 2000 blazer. last summer i replaced the compressor and the drier and flushed out the system. worked great last summer. this year it was low on freon.when i did the fix last year i put in the oil with the uv dye so when i pulled out the black light, the only place anything showed up was around the high pressure port. when i remover the cap, it let out a pop like an air bb gun firing. every couple days i twist the cap loose and it pops. any idea or fix short of replacing the whole line set??

Some are as the fitting screws out with valve made in it. Also check with your GM parts dealer to see if replaceable. Some you can press down on valve a few times and get them to seal up. Let us know how it goes. Good luck

Re: a/c high pressure port leaking
Yes they are replaceable dealer has them. fitting comes out of the line. Or a pick and pull type salvage yard cars trucks they are the same got me a bag full of them last trip to the bone yard. these hi-press ports seem to be problematic
MT how ya doing? |
