2002 PA self-levelling air compressor

Need a replacement air compressor and am wondering if anybody here knows what years / models air compressor would interchange. Any help appreciated

Have you tested the compressor to be sure that it is the problem? You can remove the compressor and apply 12v direct to the power lead. IIRC, that wire is either blue or purple. Of course, you need to also ground the negative (-) lead to the motor frame. Is your compressor located under the rear of the car behind right/rear tire? If so, this configuration started back in in 1996.

I have not removed compressor and tested out of vehicle but have verified power getting to compressor and wires to compressor getting quickly very hot and tripping the circuit breaker. This pretty much indicates to me problem is in pump assembly.
