It can me be more than one word depending on the blood alcohol level!

Re: Finished

Kel, the motor and tune, performed extremely well - i chased down (with some help from Eric) a few "electrical" issues, resolved and then battled a clutch issue until I decided to give it up @ mid-day Saturday. I did not want to lose the transmission, so I played it safe.

Ill need to add another shim or two and fix my shift linkage bar - had serious times getting from 4th to 3rd - to the point of becoming a menace on track and/or burning thru synchos or teeth...

Motor is very strong, ton's o torque - will be a very fun ride.. so, off to get back under the car and wrench a little more.

Weekend was awesome - great company, Bob, Glen, David, Eric and the rest of the Club crew!!

Re: Finished

It was a great, albeit, HOT HOT weekend, the RV AC was a nice reprieve though!

My car ran great!, except for some brake fade issues after about 4-5 laps, pads are getting low, @ 1/8" maybe slightly more.

The good news... I was 5-6 seconds faster than the next fastest Panoz ;-)

David, all in good fun! enjoyed it, see you next time!

Ah the old everything is new gremlins!!

Devin when you say "shift linkage bar" are you referring to the bar that goes from the gear lever and then forward to the box shifter? If so I initially had issues with poor shift quality until we rebuilt the shifter. All the bearings and bushes were stuffed inducing lots of play that made shifting a mare. Particularly the 4 - 5 and back to 4 shifts.

What was the clutch issue?

Kel.

Exactly - that's the issue - I had a very hard time 4th to 3rd - never put in 5th due to that reason...

Clutch - I think I may be short a shim or two - little fluid coming out and then dead pedal, bled the clutch and off again, then issue again, bled again, moved pedal stop - band aid fix got me thru to find the linkage issues. I just ordered a complete set of bushings, bolts and nuts from Brandon @ Panoz -- so, that should fix that issue.

Now, just to take out the tranny again, re-measure for the throw out bearing clearance and reinstall.

Re: Finished

Was a GREAT weekend - as expected. Glen and I left the car and trailer at CMP to pick up on the 3rd - on our way back up to Chin event at VIR on the 5th/6th (mon/tues).

Eric - You and Your car SUCK

Devin - Hang in there buddy. You got away while I was out on track. Just a couple of minor fixes and then you get the the Eric message (see above).

David - I'm glad you our cars are not reversed - YOU ARE A HELL OF A DRIVER - you'd smoke me too!
