99 cougar altnator

can anyone tell me whats involved to replace altenator on a 99 cougar with a 2.5 liter does the motor have to be droped lower to chnge

you don't have to drop the subframe, but you will need extensions and you will need to disconnect the passenger tie rod end.

I have done this a couple times in a driveway...it takes a couple hours and a lot of patience. I will make a little writeup within the next day or two and post it here.
