wanna get a chip

just recently bought a 98 mustang 3.8l 5spd to replace my 93 eclipse 1.8l(tired of fixing it, and a big improvement) but i've been looking at chips for it and i was wondering if anybody could tell me which one would be best, i've looked at hypertech, diablosport, jet and bullydog, they all seem to do the same thing, but if they do then it just comes down to price. just looking for someone to point me in the right direction. thanks

Re: wanna get a chip

Get an SCT handheld with a custom tune. Dyno tunes will net the most power, but an email tune on one of these are still great. You can always get a dyno tune in the future or another email tune. They hold 3 tunes, and you can flash the PCM in about 5 minutes if you ever want to switch.

Here's where I got my SCT tuner and email tune. Lonnie is the best with the Ford modular engines!

The difference between the SF3 and X3 is that the SF3 comes with a bunch of pre-installed tunes. They are from SCT and they are not as aggressive/good as Lonnie's custom made tunes. The X3 from Blue Oval Chips includes a free custom tune. You tell him what you have and he makes one and loads it on the device before he ships it. You can always have him email you new tunes later if you need them or go take it to a dyno where they will make a tune that maxes out every possible setting on your car safely.
