92 Nissan se maxima making motor noise

I have a 92 Nissan maxima se. It is very loud when I first start the car...It doesn't continue to make the noise the whole time the motor is running...It will make the noise then go away for awhile then come back and go away..Is it my timing sprockets or something else?

location location location:

buy 10$ mechanics stet hoscope and listen in (or use long screwdriver, ear on handle, tip on engine CAUTION aaaeergh if cant know which way)

Pls tell where the sound comes from. Exhaust metal shields , typical source, rust out (not too dangerous) just tie em with wire.

Found out that its my timing sprocket that is making the noise ...my brother in law is a mechanic he will fix it..he also gave me some coils to see if that will help the motor run better

If noise source is not adv mechanism, maybe bad oil, worn lifters, wrong filter (low pressure)?

Were chain/sprockets also replaced?

Pinpoint the location (buy a 6$ stethoscope).
