2001 GTP Speakers

My drivers side door speaker and tweeter have stopped working, there is nothing wrong witht he rest of the speakers they all work fine. I bought a replacement bose speaker and a tweeter, I installed the new bose speaker and it would not work. Any suggestions?

Re: 2001 GTP Speakers

You should check the wiring between the dashboard and the door where there is no sound, the wires might get pinched when you close the door causing them to brake or a short circuit or a false contact. You could try opening and closing the door or shaking the rubber hose coming out at the side of the door as you listen to the speakers to see if there is any clicking sound coming from them . Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the suggestion, my first thought was the same kind of thing I was hoping it would be a little easier and I could just put a new speaker in but with both the speaker and tweeter going out and everything else still working it makes sense.
