02 2500HD Crewcab Longbed 6" lift W/ Hypertec Powerprogrammer III and AirRaid Cold Air Intake 11 mpg at best. It's a heavy rig and loves to drink. I recommend putting a bigger tranny cooler on it as well if you tow with it like I do. Lifted w/ a lot of tire and a trailer w/ a lot of stuff, that tranny is workin and heating up. B&M makes a nice, big cooler. Also, becareful w/ K&N or AirRaid filters of that kind (that use oil) If your mass air flow sensor gets contaminated, which is on the receiving end of that air flow, that is a $500 + part. Put a lint free fiber screen on the in the inlet side of the MAS.

What do you mean, "lint free fiber screen"? Is that in addition to the K&N/AirRaid, or is that like a stock paper element?

Hey what does K&N FIPK mean? Isn't that the K and N intake kit with the chrome pipe?

I would like to add my two cents about the fuel mileage i'm getting with my 08 crew cab short bed 4x4. The changes I have made are very small. I use Castrol Syntic Blend 5w-30, and run 93 octane. I also have a bed cover and cat back system by flow master. On the Hwy I get 17-18 mpg, in town i get 14-15 depending on how hard I drive. I love my truck it does everything I need it to do.
