Re: miss-fire at full throttle...any ideas?

thats what i was thinking. there is a spot on cylinder 5's wire cover that has been worn thru and taped, although im pretty sure the wire is not exposed. im thinkin this is causing some voltage problem and speeding the corroding process on the coil. ill probably replace the wires, and then if necessary, the coil

If you end up needing a coil pack, lmk. I have a spare thats been sitting in my trunk for almost a year now. Has all 3 coil packs. Idk how much shipping would be...but I'm just up in WI so it shouldnt be too bad.

If the missfire cleared up after sanding the post, did you recoat the connection with dialectic grease to protect the post. This type of grease allows for electrical pass thru while keeping the posts from corroding. Just something else to try. I would also grease up all the posts on the coils and the plugs. Good luck.
