Ferrari 612

Inspired by seeing photos of 1:1 612's in white. I didn't like the stock 612 when it first came out, but newer versions look better in the right colour, and with the ability to use Scale Production 20" Challenge wheels that are now available on the 612 and look far better than any other wheels on it, I decided to build this.

I customized the front fascia in a somewhat similar fashion as the 599 GTO. I did the same kind of custom fascia on my custom 612 built several years ago.

Hoping to finish this model over the long weekend. It's painted in Tamiya Pure White w/gloss black roof to look like the transparent roof on the modern 612's. I built an example on Ferrari's configurator to see how the model should look when finished.

Re: Ferrari 612

20" wheels really do a gret job at hiding the weird proportions of this one.

Re: Ferrari 612

Nice! I just love how Ferrari doesn't show actual pictures of their lineup instead just CG images on their website.

Excellent start, it looks hot in white and I'm glad you replace the stock rims, good luck on this one!

Re: Ferrari 612

Looks sweet Zoom Zoom!

White is a tricky color to put down without getting runs and such because you donīt see when it is too wet.

Youīve done a great job here...it sorta looks like a small yacht without itīs wheels..:-)

Looking forward to see it finished!

Cheers!

Emil
