98 dodge avenger es vaccum problem?

I just bought my baby about a week ago. I was getting it all good for aircare, and got a code p1494. Something to do with the LDP and checking all the vaccum and fuel lines. After taking a quick look i realized the problem (i think). On the passegers side of the engine coming fromunderneath the intake, there are two metal hoses. One has a flex hose and the other one is clearly lacking its hose. Its deffinatly a vaccum hose and possibly for the VSC. But not 100% sure. Of the two hoses its the one that is closer to the firewall. Any help would be great.
