92 f150 wont start/kills batteries

I stopped to get gas today and when I tried to start my truck it had a dead battery. I tryed to jump it but no success. So I put a new battery in it and it sparked and drained the battery. I also tried 3 other batteries from my other trucks and it did the same thing. I was thinking a starter or alternator short.. I also know a lady who started having the same problem with her explorer 2 days ago...

"So I put a new battery in it and it sparked and drained the battery"

I'm not quite sure what this means. Actually I have no idea what this means.

Before you start buying or replacing parts, you want to find out what is wrong with your truck.

You have apparently installed four batteries in one afternoon. Why?

When you have a dead battery, the first thing to do is to test the battery.

The next thing to do is to check the charging system. For most of us, a known good battery installed is necessary to check charging systems.

Generally speaking, the starter has nothing to do with whether the battery is good or not.

Fully charge your new battery, test it (it could be defective), install it, then check your charging system. The information you learn by this will assist in looking into any further problems.
