oil question

ive had ams oil in my caf for a while now. and its not even close to change time. ttho it is time to change the filter. should the oil be darkk? because i is and ive never had dark oil even with castrol and other oil. just askin cuz i no for a fact my engine is in tip top shape...thanks

If its black then its time for a change. Mine in black as black can get every time I change my oil.

hmm ok its not black at all. just darker then usual. i was just thinking cause they said i dont have to change amsoil until 25000 miles minus regular filter changes. so i thought maybe just causeit stays in there longer it get that color an doesnt ness mean its breaking down. hmm ill just change it again. i like ams oil...got rid of my tick

I don't care what their claims are. I would NEVER let oil go 25,000 miles. There is so much contamination that can destroy oil just from age. 5,000 is the absolute longest I would ever go on an oil change.

I've never used Amsoil but if it contains a lot of detergents in it; it can cause the oil to be darker than when using your usual oil which may contain less. As with Stealthee, I am leary with claims that high. Personally I would push it maybe 6k. But than again I only drive my 3s less than 4k and change my oil twice during the 6 months it is on the road.
