The End of an Age

and the beginning of a new one!
i am getting rid of the vr4!
in a matter of days i will be trading it for a 79 bronco.
its pretty sweet: ford 400, c6 tranny, 4inch lift on 33" tires, etc
it would be a muscle car.. except that its a truck. a totally badass one

so i'll soon be forgetting what things like "turbo spool" and "ECU" mean as im crashing through the trees around here.

its been fun, but its time to move on to bigger and better things **tear**
:sarcasm1:

ill miss you guys!!

EDIT: i just realized that it looks like im saying sarcastically that i'll miss you guys. i meant for the melodramatic part with the tear to be sarcastic. my bad

That thing have headers on it? I'll have to look but my brother had a set of headers for a 400 Bronco. I think he's got some nice shocks and stuff too.

Re: The End of an Age

Nah. He only had a few things for it. It was basically a muddin woods vehicle. After the second snapped distributor shaft he left it sitting in the mudhole it broke in and sold it to a guy that was with them for $400.

Re: The End of an Age

LOL yeah it was pretty badass. It was my uncles vehicle for like 15 years. He has "restored" it once. It never had cats on it since before he had had it. Then our area started doing (or is supposed to do ) visual emissions. Anything newer than 75 is supposed to have a cat. He didn't want to put the money into so he sold it even though I tried to convince him he could get away without the cats if he went to the right people.

The guy he sold it to drove it for years and didn't take care of the body when it started to rot. My cousin (son of the uncle that had it before) ended up buying it back. He never had the money to put into it to fix it right so it sat more. My brother ended up trading a POS neon he really got for nothing for the Bronco.

That thing had dead plates, dead inspection, no insurance and he still drove it on the roads to get to the areas they went mudding. I think he had 38 inch tall tires on it. It was a beast.

Re: The End of an Age

thats kinda a sad bronco story. . .

mine seems not to have any huge mechanical problems. its gonna need a new starter soon, and also an oil pan gasket. but the 400 is really solid, and REALLY loud
