1998 Park Avenue ABS Pump Question
I have a 1998 Buick Park avenue Base with 3.8
I am trying to find some information on the ABS Pump. I have replaced my front wheel bearings and ABS/Traction light is still on. I took it to 2 separate mechanics and they both read the ABS codes and told me my ABS pump is bad. Both want over 500.00 to repair. I am mechanically inclined and would like to do it my self if it can be done without any specialty tools. I do have traction control. I do not have magnetic variable steering I believe it is option (opt NW9). Any help would be appreciated. |

Re: 1998 Park Avenue ABS Pump Question
The abs units are not repairable in the field, if the diagnosis is correct, you can get remans from Napa.

Re: 1998 Park Avenue ABS Pump Question
Im asking if I need any special tools to install it/Bleed the lines. I have read that some units need a special scan tool to bleed the ABS.

Re: 1998 Park Avenue ABS Pump Question
98 will need a scanner capable of actuating the solenoids for proper bleeding.
