Ferrari 312 Monaco 1967 for Ferrari Expo 2009

I made this Hiro 312 Monaco 1967 for last years Ferrari Expo. It is based on the 1968 Hiro 48 valve 312 kit. I changed the heads, body, wheels, tires, gearbox cage, decals, injectors, ect. The Hiro kit is not bad, but had a ton of errors even when doing the 1968 car it was made to be(the 1/20th version has the same mistakes). If it had not been in 1/24th scale I would have had a hell of a time getting new wheels and tires.

This model is of the tragic Bandini car that he was killed in during the 1967 Monaco race.

On to the model:

Gorgeous model! Top finishing, sublime weathering.
I am a huge fan of sixties Ferrari F1 cars and you did them justice with this beautiful model. Also like the base, great pairing.

Another top-notch build. Love how you put a bit of time and effort into the bases.

Thank you for your nice comments. This kit does have alot of parts!!!
I like to make bases for all my models. It helps keep people from picking up my models at shows, and looks nice. It's sometimes amazing what full grown adults will pick up at a model show!
