92 coupe cb7, tcu issues

Hey crew,
Hope I'm in the right place. My 92 accord coupe is acting too weird on me. I have to reset the TCU to get my tranny out of p mode. My D4 light comes on and is solid (not blinking). I have to down shift to 1 & 2. I do have R and D is very slow to pick up and can only go 45 mph. I park it and pull the 7.5 fuse from the engine bay, after 10 minutes, she fire up with out D4 being stuck & she is all good. As soon as I park and restart her, the D4 light stays on tranny locks up in limp mode.
Things I have done:
Pulled my TCU, looks quickie clean, no stains or discoloration.
Pulled both shift solenoids, cleaned them out & check both for proper function.
Changed tranny fluid, it was brown and smelly.
Did I miss something or do I need to scope into this issue more in depth?
Gratz,
laloquera

PS
its an automatic tranny

i would pull back the carpet an try wiggling the plugs and see if the light changes.. mine had a problem with that and take a real close look for corrosion in the plugs... i had to tweak the pins to make good contact.. both my honda's leak water inside the car not sure if this is a common problem

Thanx, that did not occure to me. I will check the pins out tomorrow morning. What can you use to combate moisture and rust in the pins? The only leaking going on in my cby is at the rear in the trunk. I hope!

Sorry, didnt mean to leave u haning. I nailed it! It was the connection, the snap/click sound was not right, compared to junk yard snap/click. Took some electrial cleaner and electrical lube (preventive rust), on both male and female connections. Done deal! Thanx for you help.
If your into cb7. u need to check out "cb7tuner.com"

Re: 92 coupe cb7, tcu issues

CB7? If you have a fourth generation honda its considered a CB7. Look at the the VIN#, it starts with letter "J" (made in Japan). Or some other call letter that represents Ohio, where the car was manufactured. Keep reading the VIN # and u will see CB7, its the internal call make&series code from Honda Motors, regardless if it was manufactured in Japan, Ohio, Mexico ... ect. If you owne a fith generation, the call is CD5.
Check out cb7tuner.com and they can explain it better. Thanx for reading.
