1:25 AMT 2005 Ford GT

The paint chipped when I installed the right tailight I should have checked the tolerances more with all the press fit parts in the kit. Looking at it now I really should have fixed the head lights too, it looks so much like a toy with those tabs...

Re: 1:25 AMT 2005 Ford GT

Has anyone confirmed the actual scale of this kit?
I recall someone saying it seems bigger than it should be for a 1/25.

Re: 1:25 AMT 2005 Ford GT

I haven't done any measurements but this kit really shouldn't be 1/25. Its bigger than my 1/24 Fujimi GT40.

Re: 1:25 AMT 2005 Ford GT

Splendid work on a not so splendid kit! I like the paintjob, looks shiny. I've also got this kit and I'm going to open the engine cover (when I get around to it). I think the kits wheels and tires need to be changed. Those look a bit toyish. One thing would help on those tires: sanding them down. The tread pattern is too big.

Re: 1:25 AMT 2005 Ford GT

I think this kit is too long. I have compared it with my collection (took some quick pictures, the GT and GT40 are my favourite cars and have about 40+ diecast and plastic models and have the badge they put into the centre of a GT40 Kit Car, which was given to me by drb sprotscars because of one of my drawings) anyway, compared - the same length, but not as high and wide as the 1/24 MotorMax Diecast.

Re: 1:25 AMT 2005 Ford GT

Very nice build, just one thing you don't look like someone who just started building, so i think that you could do the panel lines it really helps to make the models looks more realistic, i also agree with Uninem regarding to rims and tires.

It's definetely a great built, congrats
