1988 Pickup 22RE

A friend has a 22RE 6 cylinder std bed manual pickup. The fuel dending unit is dead. Can somebody tell me if the fuel sending unit is 240 empty ohm, 33 full ohm or 0-90 ohm set-up.

A factory replacement is over $200. The vin number is JT4VN63C7J0008002.

Any help woould be greatly appreciated.

I don't know anything about the sending unit. But, the 22R* is a 4-cylinder engine.

The V6 is a VZ engine. (For example, my 89 is a 3VZE).

Maybe the correct engine designation will help identify the sending unit? (The year might make a difference too.).

All the under hood stickers show it as an 22re if u decode the vin it shows a std V-6 pickup 4x4 pickup 3.0 liter engine

Around 3 ohms full and 110 empty.

Try counting the spark plugs to see which engine you have.
