Re: code p1135

From page 2 of our FAQ page:

"P1135 Air-Fuel Sensor Heater Circuit Response Malfunction"

For complete diagnostics for this code, refer to the Generation 5 Toyota Camry factory service manual stickied at the top of this forum's home page. Here's the link to the service manuals:

Re: code p1135

There is a Tech Service Bulletin associated with this issue:

TSB #EG00102 -- MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP ON WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES P1130, P1135, P1150 OR P1155 AS A RESULT OF AN AIR FUEL SENSOR.

NHTSA Number: 10004509
TSB Date: October 30, 2003

NHTSA Number: 10000274
TSB Date: October 30, 2002

NHTSA Number: 628671
TSB Date: January 18, 2002

By filling in the NHTSA number here, you can order the TSB. The problem is almost certainly with the Bank1Sensor1 A/F Ratio sensor - not the cat converter. To make sure you buy the correct sensor, give a Toyota parts counter guy your VIN and get a part number for that part for your vehicle. It is the sensor just in front of the cat converter near the engine.
