Make sure and post up pics when you get everything on. It should look good.

Eventually, after getting injectors/tune I'm hoping to hit around 117-119mph or around there. Kind of hard to say exactly though. Really I am buying these to make a fun street car...not so much to get numbers, though I wouldn't mind seeing some.

Yeah those will be fun for a street car. 300-400whp makes a really fun daily!

Re: Modifications list

good news!! i thought my rings were bad

still have compression.

turbo is..."blown", possibly because it was getting too much oil pressure and it was pushing oil out of the seals, no shaft play. Just the result of a funky oil return/feed setup.

There was even oil coming out of the BPV... it was EVERYWHERE

goal is fixed by the weekend and maybe a bigger better turbo...

Re: Modifications list

Had the resonators cut off the other day, so post secondary cat I'm running straight three inch pipe, no mufflers. Might have the exhaust shop cut and angle the tip a bit for a touch of aesthetic. Car sound beastly with no resonators, just as loud as another Speed3 with the CPe catted DP same catback I have. The best explanation someone gave me is that it isn't as loud, but as the same sorta deep Supra burble (faster than a Subaru sound) at idle and low revs, and wide open just sounds, and I quote, "dirty nasty in a good way."

I should get a really nice sound once we finally get this downpipe on. I'll try to get some video of it this week. I don't think I really got any more power out of it, but I can tell the car boosts a bit quicker, I was able to spin 'em through third rolling into it, and normally I can't do that. The general hope was to get the DP on this weekend, but we've exhausted all our tricks on the primary O2 and it just wont come out. Do to friendly hook ups, we'll be taking the car to Dynosaur performance, who normally works on 1000+whp Supras and Vipers, to see if they have any tricks short of cutting it out. I'll be working out the details when I take the Speed in to have them dyno it.

Re: Modifications list

One of the VR4 wheels cracked the whole way through so I bought 4 new wheels and tires for it today. Another forced modification. I'll post pics when I get them on.

Re: Modifications list

I'll get some better pics of the new shoes but here is a quick shot:

This is with all new Goodyear Fierce UHC's Z rated tires as well.

Much lighter than stock.
