93 v6 fuel problems (Electrical)

I bought a 93 V6 3.0 (3VFE) with a bad engine. I changed out my engine. The problem is that it will start and then die. It has power to the fuel pump when it starts and then the power to the fuel pump goes away after a couple seconds. (ie no gas). There are no codes and it runs fine when I put power to the fuel pump. It has to be something that was existing on the car because it ran great in the other car. I checked all the plugins like 5 times now and everything is connected. there is a plugin down by the plug for the speedo plug that has no where to go, and it looks like it has never been pluged in. This is a 5 speed manual shift car and I am assuming that plug is for an automatic transmission car. Any suggestions would be appriciated, and thank you in advance.
