timing belt question

my question is this. my brother has an o4 aveo and he blew the timing belt . car has 120 km on it. he read on internet somewheres that those cars should get the timing belt changed every 90,000km . are the optra the same?. my 04 optra 5 is at 163,000 km . are these cars bad for timing belts? any info would be great.

YIKES it seems that this engine is an INTERFERENCE engine; you'll damage your valves or worse if the belt snaps!
