Catalytic Converter and Smog
At Kragen a cat for an 02 SL2 is $87.00. From the dealer the price is about $1100.00. Apparently the cat from kragen is legal here in California which was my first concern...anyone have any thoughts..?

The difference is you're going to have to be able to weld and fabricate to install it. Or pay someone to weld it in for you. The dealer cat is expensive because it is only for your application and will bolt in directly. The universal cat will work just as good as the original.
