Re: sagging fuel door helppp
I am not sure how it is attached, try peeling the carpet back on the drivers side in the trunk and have a look.
Or else you could take a trip to your local salvage yard, tell them you need a fuel door and try and take on off. If you break it out there no big deal just move to the next car...

Re: sagging fuel door helppp
same thing happened to mine. jack up the car take off the tire and look up to where the gas door would be. there is a plastic cover over it. there is i think three screws that u have to take out when you open the gas door. remove the plastic cover and look at the hinge that the door moves on. im sure the top part of the pin is broken from being rusted. after you locate where the pin is tap out the old pin and replace it with a codder pin. then bend the ends of the pin so it doesn't come out. and that's it. i did it to mine over a year ago and nits still holding up great

Re: sagging fuel door helppp
thanks, ive got everything off and can see the hinge, but i dont see where anything is broken... there is just a little play in the mount. what year is yours? maybe they had a different type of hinge.. my fuel door is only sagging just enough to barely rub on the body. so its only off by half a centimeter or less, but i feel like its going to get worse soon.. i did notice that there are two rivets that mount the hinge to the body. the holes in the bracket where it is mounted have a little bit of room for the hinge to move, providing it is de-rivetted. do you think i should remove the rivetts and adjust the bracket, then just bolt it back in place?

Re: sagging fuel door helppp
no, mines just down a little to begin with, like i said though its only probably .5 cm... i think im going to try gluing tiny super magnetts to the body and to the inside of the fuel door. im hoping they will be strong enough to hold it in place, and serve as a sort of latch. similar to the magnetts the are on some purses...
