the one that i bought was not a direct fit. i needed a piece of pipe to fill the gap from the muffler to the tailpipe.

This is the one i have, although the price has gone up a bit:

Here are two that are direct fit for some s-series trucks (needs to be welded in):

Re: cherry bomb glass-packs

i threw a cheaper cherry bomb on my gal's 1988 4.3 s10 , sounds good (wouldn't know much difference cause it hardly had an exaust to begin with) response and all could possibly be better but i believe that engine has a hard time warming up if at all, lol. So yes it very well could be not enough back pressure.

Re: cherry bomb glass-packs

on my 93 Jimmy 4.3 I took off the cat and got a dynomax turbo and have gotten to many tickets it was loud loved the sound it was super deep, stuck another 3 feet of pipe on and another dynomax turbo quieted it down a lott had it inspected by the police and they said it was almost too loud still, wondering if i messed up having 2 mufflers on 1 pipe even if i did space them out about 3 feet not enough sound for me but still deep think it killed by performance just a little as well
