Exclamation How much should replacing the front brake pads on a 2000 Grand Am GT cost?

I'm looking to buy a used 2000 grand am GT, guy upfront, says the brake pads will need to be done- about how much is that gonna run me? Thank you so much!
Also, if anyone knows anything to watch out for in this kind of car, let me know, i'm trying to buy it for my fiance's birthday.

You could call a few shops in your area to get prices on front brakes or better yet, take it in for a free estimate. It really must be seen before an accurate estimate can be given. You never know what will be found when the wheels are removed.

As far as reliability of this model, look around the pontiac forum here and see what problems people are having. You could also check consumer reports for model specific problems..

Good luck
