97 Cirrus - Bad Hub Bearing or CV Joint

How does one know if the Hub bearing or CV joints are bad. Are they easy to replace on a 97 cirrus?

CV axle joints usually pop while turning the steering wheel while driving. The way I would check to see which one it could be is to remove the axle from the hub including the brake rotor and try turning the hub by hand and fill for any grinding and go from there. Hope this helps.

Bearing usually howls and changes pitch as you turn the whell left or right. The typically start making noise around 30mph or so.

CV joints will make a rapid clicking under acceleration, most often from a dead stop, while the wheels are turned left or right.
