Chroming rocker panels & more
My car's about to go in for paint and I want to restore the rocker panels, wheel well moldings, and Landau trim before I put it all back together. I was told I could chrome all of this but what are my other options? What kind of metal is this stuff? I'm worried since it's somewhat flexible, at least compared to a steel bumper, that the chrome could be easily damaged or even flake off? I don't know much about chrome or the process though. Any advice or ideas?

Re: Chroming rocker panels & more
For some reason "anodized aluminum" comes to mind? Everytime i try to shine these up and no matter what i use, right after i finish you can actually watch it go back to the dull finish. Its so weird..i kinda gave up on it but if you could chrome it that would be awesome, i'll keep it in mind when my caprice goes in for paint if it all works out.
