Trans lines to radiator

Is a special tool needed to disconnect trans lines at radiator??

There is a tool to make it easier but you can remove the plastic cover, use a pick to remove the metal clip (they go flying and disappear if your not careful) and then remove the line. You can reinstall the metal clip before reinstalling the metal line or after you install the metal line.

New lines should come with a new clip but if you are carefull they shouldn't go flying.

I could have swore the trans cooler lines were just regular nuts on both ends (trans and radiator). I didn't think they had these little clips.

They are there.. Aggravating as hell, but they are there.
