Turbo Timer for RB25DET

Hi,

Just picked up my new (to me) GTS-25T and I was wondering if I should get a turbo timer for it.....is it a good idea for these engines?

Any advice appreciated.

yeah it's a good idea. unless you want to wait a minute or so after you parked it to turn it off.

it just makes sure you cool the turbo properly otherwise the heat can destroy.

Yep, timers are always a good idea if you can't be bothered hanging out in your car waiting for it to cool proper. Have one in my 25t, usually set to 1 minute as I have a bit of a drive in a built up area to get home from 'off the beaten track'. I try to take it easy for the last few minutes of my drive if I have been nailing the car.
