I'd be a little nervous buying a car with an engine swap. You don't know who did it or the quality of the parts used. I'd be asking for some receipts.
As far as the price, its hard to say. What "extras" does it come with? Bodykit, rims, APC decals, windshield LED's.... Extras is a pretty broad term. Just for reference, there was a 93 or 94 Si for sale in AutoTrader around here for $8g with a GSR swap and some rims. Don't know if he sold it or not. Try www.thepartstrader.com and see what sols w/ swaps are going for. |

I would say yes it is a reasonable offer. Figure a 93 Si is worth between 3k-6K depending on condition, mileage, etc. So let's say 4k for just the value of the car. Then 3k is left. GSR engine 2k-4k worth depending on year, mileage, etc. and then the extra goodies. Sounds reasonable to me. What kind of condition is the car in? Rust?, paint good? What's the year of the GSR engine? Miles ok or are they high? Was the swap done by a professional and is certified or was it swapped in by people that thought they knew what they were doing? I would probably feel a bit more comfortable with a swapped engine if was done by a shop and has paper work on it.
