Tranmission occasionally jerks
I have a 1999 Dodge Durango SLT, 5.9 liter V-8, and 4WD. When running at a steady speed it will occasionally jerk, sort of like a miss. When this happens, the tachometer increases by 150 to 200 RPM. It just a momentary flicker and the engine speed does seems to increase.
The problem is more prominent when using cruise control, but will sometimes occur when just trying to run at a steady speed. It sometime happens right after turning on the cruise control, but other times I may drive the car for several hundred miles with no problems. The transmission was new in Janurary of 2008, I have replaced the Governor Pressure Sensor & Solenoid, filter and the Seed Sensor. Please help, no one can figure out what is wrong. Thanks |

Re: Tranmission occasionally jerks
Try changing the TPS throttle position sensor $35.00 from rock auto online. Its simple to do just need a torx screw driver.....

Re: Tranmission occasionally jerks
Thank you I did change the part out and it is working fine so far, I hope that was the only problem. Thanks again.
