'05 Ram 4.7 dies when slowing down and engine idling.
1-2 times a week, my '05 4.7 dies usually after driving for a time when I slow down at a light or turn into a parking lot. It starts right back up and doesn't do it again for several days. Any thoughts, suggestions appreciated.

Re: '05 Ram 4.7 dies when slowing down and engine idling.
I ran into this problem twice over the years. The torque converter clutch sticks and it's the equivalent of stopping a stick without pushing in the clutch. As you are rolling up to a stop sign put it in neutral and it will stay running. See if you can disconect it somewhere. Possibly a wire going into the bell housing or maybe there is a fuse. The dealer cut the wire on my mom's car to "fix it". Disconnected it will cost you about 1 MPG.
