Tenzo-R Wiper Blades / ac compressor arrived / should I buy this JVC cd reciever?

Took em long enough to get here, but the ac compressor has shown up as well as the wiper blades. The a/c compressor will probably go in this weekend or sometime next week, and the wiper blades are coming along nicely too.

Also, I have the chance to get a JVC KDSX780 cd reciever for $100, what do you guys think of em. Here is a pic and some specifications

200 Watts max
CD-R/CD-RW compatable
Remote
Random, Repeat, Intro play modes
HS II Tuner
Compu play
Preferred setting mode
multi-colored LCD
MP3 input on front
AFNS/PNC
SSM (for FM)
Detachable face
new MSRP $209

Its refurbished, so that should be good

Anyhow, Im excited about all my new shit and projects that are coming together, I now just need to make speaker grilles for my doors that look decent and arent ghetto as hell like what I have now.

I second that... My uncle has one in his truck and that thing blows. It sounds horrible and has no power what so ever.

I know I'll get yelled at for this, but look into the Jensen IC8010 from Crutchfield... 30w X 4 RMS!!! 60w max. I'm probably gonna buy it once I figure out what car it'll go in but thats an entirely different story. Anywho, do a search on here. Sparq wrote an excellent review. He has it in his car so he'll back me up on the recommendation. Oh yeah that Jensen is only $149 plus you get all kinds of extra goodies if you want to hook up a LCD, VCR, DVD, etc down the road.

It depends on what you want it for, looks or power... Sure you could go pay $400 for the top of the line Alpine or $900 on the LCD Sony HU so your car will look cool or you could pay $150 for an "ugly" Jensen HU and get power. Go look on Crutchfield and compare. The only unit close to 30w RMS is the $349 Alpine with 27w RMS. Personally, I'd take power over looks and still save money.

IMO, I don't think it looks all that bad...

IMO, 30 watts RMS is nothing, i would get a shitty powered, but good looking headunit, and then get a nice 4 channel AMP for the interior speakers. Melt, dont get a JVC heaqdunit, i got one, and they are not that good, and that Jensen one is pretty good because of the goodies it has like the LCD screen and the VCR and shit that you can add to it, because there is no other headunit that i know that does this without a dvdplayer or a lcd screen built in........

my $60 road gear p.o.s from wal mart is 30watts RMS, I agree get an underpowered, good looking head unit and use amps to do the rest of the work, that's what I'm doing. I'll have my amps and speakers installed and ready for a head unit before I start looking for one.

This is Sparq's review. He knows his shit so I'd trust him. Apparently it has no distortion even on stock speakers.
