Camry wipers

My '02 Camry has a loud scraping sound from the wipers, even after
I removed the arms and blades.
I sprayed silicon lube on all the rotating joints, still the noise.
Since it's been pelting rain, I've put it all back together. I am assuming it's the motor itself. Is there any thing else in there it could be?
I'll probably try a local boneyard, as new Toyota parts are for the financially blessed .
