67 camaro saved from my sister

TITLE IS WRONG!!!! I JUST realized this is a 67 camaro. not a 69. But I cant change the title...

well... because I was into my models my sister attempted to do this about 2 years ago... here's HER work...

horrible paint. blue EVERYWHERE rims ruined..

paint all over the chrome

interior was decent but I stripped it all anyway.

WHITE HEADERS?? REALLY??

here's my progress so far..
body shaved, scribed, and primered

parts sitting in break fluid

subs going in the trunk

wheels from acura integra and tires from xmod tire upgrade

PLANS:
Gloss black
BMF trim
Purple interior
fuzzy dice (if I can find some or make some)
driver's side suicide door
cut out trunk and put subs in the lid
basic wiring in the motor.

Re: 69 camaro saved from my sister

There are many that can build a model well. It's not all that can pull one from the grave and resurect it however !

Nice save and the results are looking great. I hope you show us the finished product .

Re: 69 camaro saved from my sister

haha actually this is a practice I actually just started. You just get a container, fill it with some brake fluid enough to submerge the part, and let it sit for a few days. I pulled my pieces out about ever 3 days and scrubbed it with a toothbrush to help aid the stripping. Just dont forget about your pieces and let them sit TOO long or the plastic will get weak

Re: 69 camaro saved from my sister

I'd like to make the engine bay look more realistic. Could anyone give me any tips on how to acquire that realistic DUB engine look? thanks

Re: 69 camaro saved from my sister

lil update.

got the carb lines formed

cut out door and trunk

cuttin out the trunk left me with some unwanted space so I had to fill it in.

Re: 69 camaro saved from my sister

Zombie Camaro FTW! One thought/suggestion. Get different wheels. Maybe a set of pegasus torque 5 spoke wheels.

Re: 67 camaro saved from my sister

Title corrected,

Nice save. I second for different rims unless you are going for the cruiser look? If so, maybe shave the roof a bit.
