Using Seafoam

I have been planning to use Seafoam to clean out my 1999 GTP (116k), and was wondering if someone could tell me the best and most effective way to use it. I know to split the can into thirds, but would like to know where exactly each third goes.

The part that I was worried about and don't want to screw up is the vacuum line. I've read doing a little research that the Seafoam will damage my S/C if I use the brake booster line. If someone could give me a little advice and point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Justin

P.S. I just noticed I somehow landed this post into the Tips & Maintenance forum....sorry for that. Hopefully it can get moved to where it belongs.

No problem. Your thread has been moved to the regular part of the GP forum.

Re: Using Seafoam

Unless you really need to use it be careful using Seafoam since you have a supercharger. Good way to destroy the internal seals and damage the coating on the impellors in the supercharger. Also, you are better off manually cleaning the throttle body out.

If you use 1/3 in the crankcase then don't run the engine too long and then do an oil and filter change as soon as possible. I've used Seafoam in the gas tank to remove moisture and clean fuel injectors and no issues as long as you have a full tank of gas and follow the instructions on proper dilution.
