Quality Aftermarket Headlamps

Can anyone recommend good quality headlamps by name if I decide to purchase them "new" for my 97 Grand Prix? There has to be some decent aftermarket lenses out there that will hold up. The ones I have now were bought used and have held up reasonably well but are starting condensation. I know better to stay clear from e-Bay for the most part . Moreover, buying them used is usually a gamble so I may just purchase and spend out the extra money for new ones if there are any recommendations for good quality parts out there. Thanks in advance.

Paul last time I checked there really are no good aftermarket headlamp units. All made in Taiwan, China or Mexico.

Thanks Bob. That's all I needed to know. I'll try to seal these up when it gets warmer. Or I'll hit up Ed.

Re: Quality Aftermarket Headlamps

If you look around you may be able to find OE GM ones in decent shape. But check with Morad first. I got a passenger side headlamp at a local salvage yard in great shape for my GTP at a reasonable cost. Mine went 10 years with no issues.

Agreed. I went the ebay route and even siliconed them before putting them on. I never had condensation probs, but they don't fit right, they rattle horribly, and are NOT worth the $. I ended up sanding and polishing my stockers and they don't look brand new, but you wouldn't know from 10 feet that they weren't.
I'd definitely hit Morad up and see what they can do. They've helped me out a few times and are great to work with.

Re: Quality Aftermarket Headlamps

You can get new OE GM headlamps for the same price or less versus Rockauto/Sherman. Sherman is a body parts supplier/distributor and doesn't make most of the stuff they sell. Good supplier to get old musclecar body parts from.

The last part I got from Sherman through another parts source was a power window regulator less drive motor. It said "Made in Taiwan".
