But a 16 pin connector sounds like OBD11. What engine and engine code? http://www.troublecodes.net/OBD2/

Have you tried a OBD11 scanner on it?

Re: 95 non odb2 16 pin dlc
took it to autozone and the reader they had would not work
there is no test terminal available on my dlc so i'am assuming it cant be checked via the old paperclip way,was just wondering if someone knew different 1995 gm was in the middle of changing over to obd2 so some vehicles have the obd2 dlc but give obd1 codes i'll try advance auto and see if they can read it |

Re: 95 non odb2 16 pin dlc
sure does...here is some stuff from that page that i was talking about..the bridge they talk about is what i am trying to figure out if i can do but i do not have terminal 6 available so it has to have a scanner
Pin 2 - J1850 Bus+Some 1995 GM vehicles have the 16-pin connector but have accessible OBD-I codes. Check the underhood emissions sticker to confirm, and if yours is OBD-I, the codes are accessed by bridging terminals 5 and 6. If your vehicle is OBD-II, a scan tool or computer is required to access the codes. here is my dlc 004.jpg Last edited by phantom1131; 03-01-2010 at 07:05 PM. |
