02 Slilverado thumping sound in the frontend
I have a 02 Silverado Z71 that's making a thumping sound when you travel down a bumpy road. I think I might have found the problem and want to see what others think. The torsion bars go from the front end to a crossmember on the drivers side I can grab the torsion bar and pull down and it seems to make the same sound, on the passerger side its solid and will not move, seems to me its a worn out bushing anyone ever had this problem. Thanks

Quite common for the mounts to wear out. Most auto parts stores have, or can get them, Moog makes them, same company that makes front suspension parts.

I have never seen this on my vehicle ,,,last time I adjusted my 2000 sil was in 2001 still correct height... if the screw has backed out, placing some medium lock tight to hold the stud is recommended... |
