Nice work. Good job with the fibre optics, the results look great. I'm interested to see how this progresses.

Re: Revell R8

Welcome to AF. Thats the main thing i hated about this kit when i first examined it was the front lights. But your technique makes the whole kit look good. I think i might have to use your idea. The rear and headlights look great.

I made tony stark from a racingdriver from an old set by carving away the seatbelts and modify his clothes and hairdoo with putty.

The lightsource is an ultrabright white led 5mm witch ignites all of the fibers for the front and rear lights.
The headlight lenses are 3mm ultrabright white leds, they are also going to work, but even without light they look way better than the plastic bump that comes with the kit.

In the pictures the light looks too blue, irl they look very similar to xenon.

Thanks for looking

Re: Revell R8

I have painted the R8 and found a carbonefibersheet to put on the sidepanels.

Re: Revell R8

Are you going to drill out the lights holes for the fiber optics in the front light lenses? Or are they going right in back. I still find this light setup the best to date.

Re: Revell R8

A little update on the project!

Some more details added and the main lights are hooked up. They look too blue in the pics, but irl it looks just like xenon.

Fantastic. I'm going to have to try doing the front lights too, it looks so much better.
