My PA just shuts down while driving down the street, then it takes up to an hour or more to restart. Any suggestions on where to start looking for the problem?

first find if you have spark then fuel pressure if you dont have spark then you have a crank position sensor bad it common on the 3800 with high milage or you could have a fuel pump gone bad after it warms up look for codes you jumper the plug just below the steering colum wwith a wire to port d & e turn ignition on then count the flashes
