Oil light blinking

Oil level is fine. Doesn't appear to be sludgy. I want to check the pressure but when I looked under the motor to find the sending unit I could see one that had a white wire running from it. I need clarification on where and which place to hook up to. If the pressure is fine what indicates a good pressure? Should I replace the sending unit? oil pressure switch? oil pump? The book I bought didn't have but one picture, black and white wasn't that helpful. Thank you for any feedback!

I have found some information. Some bulletins state it's a green wire while others state it's a white wire. I'm unsure of what constitutes a good pressure. I'm trying to not have to put too much money into than I have to. With a family of 5 I can't afford it right now. Hopefully it's just the sending unit and looking into replacing the water pump. Also the tool needed to remove the original sending unit that I've found listed on a few bulletins does not fit. A few bulletins have been helpful but that's why I posted in detail the few concerns I have. Thanks again

oil comes on when i stop or slow down and i replaced oil switch and still does it

if it's a 1998-2004 Intrepid 2.7 V6, I'd get the oil pressure checked out, these engines are notorious for engine failures due to small oil galleries. If not, then here is the TSB:

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
With a hot engine the oil pressure light may be on or flicker on at idle.

DIAGNOSIS:
Verify engine oil pressure as described on page 9-21 of the 1999 Concorde/Intrepid/LHS/300M service manual (Publication No. 81-270-9140). If engine oil pressure is within specification perform the Repair Procedure.

PARTS REQUIRED:
1 05017800AA Wire Terminal/Vent
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1.Raise vehicle on a suitable hoist.
2.Remove engine oil pressure switch connector from switch.
3.Remove sealing dart from the empty cavity at the rear of the connector.
4.Pull terminal locking ring outward from front (switch) side of connector to gain access to terminal locking tabs.
5.Install wire terminal/vent, p/n 05017800AA, in place of the removed sealing dart. Slide locking ring back into place.
6.Attach the connector back on the oil pressure switch.
7.Spot tape the wire/vent to follow the harness towards the top of the engine compartment.

POLICY: Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.

Yup, have the oil pressure checked out.

according to factory specs, the MINIMUM "safe" oil pressure for the 2.7 at idle is 5 psi & should be between 25-80 psi at 3000 RPM. The best rule of thumb about oil pressure is 10 psi for every 1000 RPM on a hot engine.

Here is a picture of the small sealing dart located on the back side of the connector. I was told to simply remove it. I first tried replacing the sending unit but still had the flickering at idle. I removed the "sealing dart" and the flickering has stopped!
