2002 grand prix gtp control arm

i have a question here i bought control arm bushings a while ago and when i had to install them they had to be installed kind of sideways otherwise (it would ruin the cars original ride) well my bushing is bad again and this time i just decided to buy 2 new stocked control arms. i went with dorman. but the weird thing is on the dorman, moog, autoparts internation, and ac delco the bushings are installed different. they are straight. what is the reason for this? better results?

To clarify are you referring to the vertical or horizontal bushings?
