'68 Dodge Charger drag car

I was inspired by a few other drag cars that have been popping up on the forum. I had this charger and some formula 1 wheels laying around and decided to do the same.
I wasn't going to do a WIP of this but it's turning out really well so I had to. This is also my second motor wiring. The first didn't turn out so well. lol

Comments please.

Installed a semi-custom roll cage and a racing seat (will be re-painted)

Rims will be re-painted as well.

And the stance

I plan on painting it a blue silver metallic with a white stripe on the rear and a flat black hood w/ hood pins.

Nice job with the wiring and boots for just your second try. Looking forward to more.

I'm actually really impressed that a f1 wheel can suit a muscle so well! Giving it that drag look!...Nice idea...Keep it up!

Re: '68 Dodge Charger drag car

Thanks for the comments.
Sry its been so long since an update. (been busy with school and work)

I Painted it with Model Masters Nassau Blue Metallic. and the hood flat black. It still needs one more coat of paint and a clear. I am also putting a white stripe around the rear.

Re: '68 Dodge Charger drag car

Not too big of an update, but I installed the hood pins and got the front bumper washed black. (still dry fitting, the bumper isn't glued on yet.)
More to come by next week hopefully.

Re: '68 Dodge Charger drag car

Another small update: I re-painted the seat and installed latch-lever racing seat belts. I wanted blue belts but the hobby shop was out of stock.
Also, my first seat belts.
So comments on improving would be great

Re: '68 Dodge Charger drag car

Looking really nice, I like the colour! The F1 rear wheels surprisingly look great! Are the front wheels from a Mustang? I may be tempted to change them for some with a bit of a dish. But wheel choice is very subjective, overall it looks excellent!

Thanks,
The front wheels are 67' Mustang wheels. I used them since they are the closest wheels to the rear ones that I had laying around.

Re: '68 Dodge Charger drag car

Looking really good so far. I like the colour combination and the stance / wheels (F1 Tyres must be worth a couple of tenths on the strip!).

Looking forward to more.
