This 3.8 with only 69K miles refuses to start when left outside. When it is kept in the garage overnight, it starts fine. This happens only in wet, or cold weather. I tried to find error codes but only 12 came up, which is Diagnostic Mode. This seems like a sensor problem, but which one? Does anyone know which ones to check first? Serge, SE Michigan.

I talked to a Buick mechanic today and he says that it is likely the plug wires or the coil-pack. If not that, then some fuel delivery problem. We are taking it in and he is going to put the fuel pressure gauge on it and scope it for $50. Seems reasonable enough to me. At least I won't be buying the wrong parts in a random search for the fix....Serge.

Re: 1991 Park Avenue Starting Problem
I am having this exact same problem with my car. It will not start on cold or rainy days. Starts fine on warm days or if the car is already warmed up. If anyone know what the problem is or if the previous poster discovered the solution please post it. Thanks!

Re: 1991 Park Avenue Starting Problem
This thread is 6-years old, I doubt the OP still has the car! I would suggest posting a new thread with your problems. BTW, the "Buick Mechanic" was probably right on with his diagnosis.
